play date cafe color challenge feat. me!

this week i decided to play along with play date cafe's color challenge! i know, i know...nothing like last minute-but i'm working better these days like that and i'm pretty proud of my creation :)

here are the challenge colors:

a big congratulations to PDC on their 1 year anniversary! how exciting and i'm so happy to have been able to create something for this special occasion. here is my LO:

this is little, or big me at the age of 10 months lol.

my mother told me that in this pic i have just finished

going hysterical because the "tall" man taking my

picture scared the poop out of me lol!

i know many of you have probably seen me use this stamp time and time again, but i just love this quote and this is actually the first one that i get to keep in one of my albums :)

above you will see this amazing lace i found and you can see the yellow sewn in; the orange strip was extremely bright, so i toned it down with baby's breath shimmerz spritz. i love me some shimmerz!!!!! it helps add a little something, to everything!

below you will see a corner flourish i created with my cricut-i have rediscovered it this week and do not have the slightest idea why i stopped using her! she will be loved more than you know now :) i also used my baby's breath shimmerz on it and gave it a vintage look which i'm lovin'!

i actually started this paper bag album

1 YEAR AGO!

can you believe it!?

i was in a funk and only had the

background placed on 3 pages

and i had holes punched along

the binding for ribbon ties...

i covered the punched holes

with strips of kraft card stock

and i cut out the flowers for

the outer binding-

wha-la! no more holes :)

friday night mini album

i am so proud of myself! usually at our monthly friday night crops-i just make a big mess, talk a lot and get a whole lot of nothing done-even though i go on a mission and sometimes even with a list. this is our 1st time back since last May AND look what i made all in one night!

i'm so excited for tonight!
tonight my sissy Margie and I will be attending the Saxton Middle Schoo Crop-our local Elementary PTA hosts a mini crop for a few hours, once a month and it's so much fun! We have made such wonderful scrappy friends and the atmosphere is fantastical-i'm certain since this is the first one in 5 months that we will be doin' a lot more of chattin' than scrappin' lol. i made a list of things i would like to get done, so we'll see how that goes :)

also, did you see that new button just above!? yup-swappin' scraps is back! a little different this time to make it easier-i have some new rules and of course each individual swap will have different guidelines to follow BUT...this is now an ATC only club. ATC's are so diverse and really is the perfect touch for almost any creation. i will have the basics of becoming a club member up shortly. grab that button and link back here to share the news!

i'm at the office now trying to get some work done-lol...ok, i tried to make that a serious statement but it's just not happening. my co-worker called in today and i'm now stuck with my stitches til monday :( don't worry-i'll make sure my responsibilities are taken care of.
