goodbye 2011

2011 was a year of highs and lows for me. i was blessed to

have my triumphs out weigh my losses. i'm looking forward

to 2012 for a fresh start. to renew myself, accomplish my goals,

cherish my family, stay positive and to follow my heart.

first, here is a quick look at some of my most favy

projects created in 2011:

what new projects will i be working on in 2012?

-my one little word is Faith and

i am looking forward to this journey in discovering it

with Ali Edwards class at Big Picture Classes HERE.

anyone else joining in? what is your OLW for 2012?

-i will be creating for Momenta & Amy Jaz Designs,

i'm thrilled that i will be able to share this with you!

-i am also on the Global Scrappers Design Team where

i will be hosting 2 challenges a month so stay tuned!

-creating at least 1 mini a month for ME!

i spent a lot of time last year gifting almost everything

i worked so hard on so now i'm focusing on me!

the next time someone comes over, i'm going to have

an awesome mini or project to share :)

here are a few of my 2012 goals that I would like to accomplish:

(it's going to be a busy year for me)

-running a 5k

-run the Warrior Dash

-completing project 365

-read 100 books

dear diary...

(Sean & I on Christmas Day at his parents)

I'm feeling...tired. i finally went back to work on Tues night,

some of you may not know that i work the overnight shift,

and i'm exhausted. trying to get back onto days-i hope soon!

i'm wearing...my old navy NY Giants Tee w black sweats, super comfy!

I'm seeing...a little blurry, time to take the contacts out lol.

I'm thinking...i really need to get organized and create a new schedule.

I'm wondering...if i'll be able to squeeze in a nap before work tonight.

i'm drinking...the very delish H2o

i'm wanting...to get some happy mail soon!!!!

I'm hearing...TV in the background, hubby is watching.

I'm considering...a few different places for a mini 2012 vaca

I'm creating...finishing up my december daily, completing my NYD cards,

a recipe mini and a mini reading log/recorder book :)

I'm worrying...about not having enough time now that

i'm back at work :( pray i get on the day shift!

I'm linking...still like crazy on pinterest lol, i just love

the fun and unique stuffies everyone shares!!!!!

I'm leaving...back to work in just 3 short hours.

I'm reading...nothing at the moment. in the air about this,

not sure what book i want to start with right now.

going to do some research tonight to be sure there aren't

any additions to series that i have read so i can catch up.

I'm also thinking...about starting classes again this spring

the weather is...COLD! finally, i love it but when i go outside

in my scrubs, it's quite chilly! time to pull out the thermals!

And lastly, I'm inspired...by some new friends that have come into my life,

real life and in this amazing blogaverse :)

i searched high and low for the perfect sugar cookie and

homemade frosting recipe and i fell in luck with the

Brown Eyed Baker's recipe for Lofthouse Style Frosted Sugar Cookies!

(i'll post pics of my cookies when they look decent lol!)

i also finalized my holiday shopping list for the main gifts

to be sure i had everything good to go and that santa

knows what to leave at my house for 2 special kiddos :)

my big sis Margie of Oh Bumble Is Me taught a class

at our monthly Barton PTA Crop. it was so much fun

and she did great! everyone was super happy w/ the final product too

and we can't wait to have her teach again!!!!!

we started celebrating the holiday a bit early at our

aunt debbie's new apartment-it was great!

just a few close family members and friends,

great snacks and a birthday cake for sean :)

quick december daily question for all of you participating this year:

how thick is your book???

what size are your pages???

what are you using as a cover/backcover?

what special little somethings are you adding?

i'm going to say the reason my book feels gigundous is because it's my very first DD

and because it is a 5x7 hybrid mini book. i also added quite a few inserts

on top of the pre-made pages i had originally created because

i just couldn't help it! what does everyone think?

the base of my DD is kraft cardstock, i'm looking for ideas on

what i can use to create a cover and back cover with-maybe canvas?

i really love my book so far and can't wait to have it on display

for next season-but any tips or ideas on what i can do?

we celebrated margie's birthday and

watch the video emails santa sent the boys

i was feeling the christmas spirit and singing my little heart

out to some holiday tunes so i decided to share my

favorite holiday songs. tis' the season :)

sean and i went with our nephews to basketball camp

for practice and it was so much fun! we stayed late so

we could just play around and shoot some hoops ourselves.

i finally finished up half of the holiday cards that must

go out by the end of the week...

lucky for me all 40 were done and mailed by last Fri!

nicks 8th birthday!

time certainly flies by and what better way to spend

it than being with the family, eating up a delish ice cream cake

topped with some pretty cool birthday gifts :)
