February Momenta Projects Sneak Peek!

yup, that's it.
stay tuned for the whole kabang
coming in february which is
just around the corner!
how time flies!

happy scrappin'!

currently...

completely inspired by:

I have created my own currently list:
Obsessing over…
reading. i can't get enough of it these days. i just want to fill my nook and shelves lol-instead of reading i find myself just looking for books, reading reviews and commenting like a nut! help! i guess it could be worse right?
Working on…
finishing up 8 double page layouts for a disney swap, 2 layouts for my momenta posts in february, my one little word project/album and getting a project kit together for a little class i'm doing on 02/10.
Thinking about…
time. i really need to get things done. i need to revamp my system already, only a month has gone by and it's just not working. i'm thinking of shopping for a pretty new organizer or making my own. what do you think?
Anticipating…
getting back to the gym. i have 2 races listed in my 2012 goals, one of which the hubby and i have already booked with the warrior dash. i really want to get back on schedule with this and run my little patootie off. of course i can't wait to get back to zumba class with dad and kickboxing too!
Listening to…
the civil wars, barton hollow. one word-amazing. get it. you'll thank me :)
Eating…
a lovely bowl of cocoa krispies. my favy late night snack.
Wishing…
that our 2nd car gets fixed asap and that the mechanic gives us a break, even the teeniest one would be helpful!

that's all for now!
happy scrappin' my peeps!

bumbles and fairy-tales...my big sis Margie's awesome book blog

i've always been a reader. ever since i got my nook, the original one about 2 years ago, i just cannot get enough!!! i know, i know...there is nothing like a good ol book to hold and smell those pages. i still do that every now and again just to feel it. i think last year i read close to 80 books-whew! this year my goal is to read 52 books-i'm already at 7 1/2 (lol, almost done with what i'm reading now), i'm technically 3 books ahead of the game and i love it! hubby thinks it's hysterical how he'll catch me reading standing in the middle of the dining room and living room-even funnier when he catches me walking into the b-room with my nook lol. i won't lie, sometimes it just has to be done.

i found that on sundays, Margie started sharing "In My Mailbox" and of course i wanted to jump on this one-i know it's monday but, better late than never lol. here is a little bit about In My Mailbox from Bumbles and Fairy-tales...:

"In My Mailbox" is a weekly meme created by The Story Siren -
The idea is to post whatever 'books' you may have received from the week (before), whether you purchased them, they were gifted to you, borrowed, etc.

so without further or do, i introduce MY In My Mailbox Mondays:

*Rak'd to me:
i joined this little RAK club by Book Soulmates,
you can check them out by clicking the blinkie on
my side bar. it's a very fun and easy going group,
what a great way to get your hands on a few good
books found right on your wishlist and give a
few back to the rest of the readers out there!!!!!

The Night Circus
thank you Roxanne from Under the Covers

Angel Time (Songs of the Seraphim Series #1)
thank you Crystal from What R U Reading

Matched (Matched Trilogy Series #1)
thank you Samantha from the Book Collector

The Iron King (Iron Fey Series #1)
thank you Bekka from Pretty Deadly Reviews

Books I RAK'd to others
the Book Soulmates Jan. Wrap-Up:

Dead until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse / Southern Vampire Series #1) (True Blood)
to Josh S.

The Iron King (Iron Fey Series #1)

Lament: The Faerie Queen's Deception
to Crystal from What R U Reading

Purchased by me for my Nook:
Fallen in Love (Lauren Kate's Fallen Series)
this is book 3.5, gotta love those in-betweenies :)
I am just in love with Daniel & Luce, but now it's
time to see how the others are doing with their love.
*getting into bed with this one tonight folks :)

Freebies found for the Nook:
Bonded
This is actually the prequel to the Mating Trilogy,
it was really a great series of books about Lycan life
in the human world-definitely a different POV- 2 thumbs up!

Zombies Don't Cry: A Living Dead Love Story

So I hear Zombies are all the rave right now,
maybe i'm a little behind still in love with the
Fallen Angels I have found, but we'll give it a try :)

Safe & Sound

so how many Hunger Games fans are out there?
***if you have not yet read the books, there may be spoilers***
i'm a huge fan of the book, i thought they were just incredible
and cannot wait for the soundtrack & movie to come out already!
sigh...just might read it again. here is a song off of the soundtrack
Safe & Sound by Taylor Swift and The Civil Wars:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=YFEDTtKaFzU

I remember tears streaming down your face
When I said, I'll never let you go
When all those shadows almost killed your light
I remember you said, Don't leave me here alone
But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight

Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound

Don't you dare look out your window darling
everything's on fire
The war outside our door keeps raging on
Hold onto this lullaby
Even when the music's gone. Gone.

Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound

Ooh, ooh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,
Ooh, ooh, oh, oh, oh, oh

Just close your eyes
You'll be alright
Come morning light,
You and I'll be safe and sound

sigh...my little Peeta & Katniss. i think it's the perfect song for them.
Are you team Peeta or Gale?

Little Love Notes w/ Momenta

Today is the day! I'm sharing with you part of my very first Momenta post as a Design Team member!!! I'm thrilled to be working with such a talented group of ladies :)

Since Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I decided to play around with a few non-Valentine Day collections to show you how versatile Momenta's Patterned Papers can be! I created 3 little love notes using bits and pieces of leftovers from a previous project. I always save my scraps for small projects like this one. All of the card bases measure 4x4.

I cut out some of the designs from the patterned papers to create my own embellishments to decorate the cards and adhered them the foam pop dots to add texture. Here is a close up to show you the texture in all 3 of them, i'm especially loving the embossed cardstock :)
Stop on by the Momenta Blog to get a closer look at each card and of course you don't want to miss out at the rest of the DT's creations-they are AMAZING!

Happy Scrappin'!!!!!

lost & found

i was cutting some hearts from the cutest momenta collection Free to Be Me. decided at some point i wanted a drink, came back and kept on cutting. found this little cutie next to me so i grabbed the camera...do you see it yet?

i thought i was finished up with the cutting and said to myself "boy i did a whole lot of cutting and there are not many hearts, what happened?" i looked around and found a little wet smushy heart...said ok, maybe i spilled or even drooled some of my drink. hmmm...after another look around i found 1 and a half hearts and the culprit who ate them:

must have been lip smackin' good and he's too stinkin' cute to even get upset. still cutting my hearts by the way lol.

dear diary...

true story :)

I'm feeling...tired. good, but tired.
getting back to working overnights was a little rough, but we make do :)

i'm wearing...a silly shirt with a beer glass on it that says, i'd tap that glass lol,

gap sweats and furry socks to keep my tootsies warm.

I'm seeing...a super un-organized scrap corner begging for me

to clean her up and to pack for this weekends crops!

I'm thinking...about what lies in the future of Katniss and Peeta,

i'm on book #2 of the Hunger Games, Catching Fire. unreal!

I'm wondering...what my sis is up to tomorrow,

i want to run to do a little shopping, hopefully she'll tag along :)

i'm drinking...strawberry kiwi snapple, or is it kiwi strawberry lol

i'm wanting...to crawl back into bed and not go to work tonight lol,

feeling super lazy and all i want to do is finish cleaning and read my book!

I'm hearing...my little riley snoring, little dog snores are hysterical

I'm considering...what snacks to bring to work tonight,

i see wheat thins and hot chocolate...

I'm creating...the cover to my OLW project, the cover to my project 365

and my Momenta projects...posting soooooooon!!!!!

I'm worrying...about a lot, but taking it one day at a time.

no use in creating more stress than necessary right?

I'm linking...still like crazy on pinterest lol, i just love

the fun and unique stuffies everyone shares!!!!!

I'm leaving...for work in a short hour, wah!

I'm reading...Catching Fire, book 2 of the Hunger Games.

I'm also thinking...i need a few extra hours a day lol. let's see how that goes.

the weather is...rainy and nasty today and into tomorrow, bleh!

And lastly, I'm inspired...by some amazingly creative peeps i've been checking out!

happy scrappin'!!!!!

Project 365, week 1

i was up in the air on whether or not to go ahead with project life/365 for 2012-i have attempted to start but nothing ever came of it, just a few daily pictures and then event pictures for the years past. i made it one of my new years crafty goals/resolutions to complete one for 2012.
