What do you highly recommend to stay away from?- a question rarely asked :)

Happy Reading and here's to an amazing May!!!!!

I hope you all enjoyed a fabulous weekend-i'm here today with the Joy's Life DT to share with you a Layout I created using the Sweet Popsicle Puns Stamp Set by Joy's Life.  Check it out:

I'm still working to finish up our wedding album scrapbook-yes, even though we celebrate our 6th anniversary in May lol.  As we all say, better late than never :)  This is what our wedding invitation looked like-we kept it simple and used our engagement photo.  When the card opens up you have the entire picture and then flipped up you have the actual invite.  I was in love once I found this style!

This is another layout with a Kraft background.  That is truly my "must have" while creating.  I honestly can't get enough of it.  I also am big on saving my scraps, so I picked a few favorites and wha-la!  (I think that's how you spell it lol-please correct me if i'm wrong).

Here are a few close up pics-the 2" circle punch was just perfect for the stamp too!  I love it!!!!!

Take a quick peek at the stamp set:

Isn't it just adorable!  Stop on by the shop HERE to get yours!

Don't forget to keep scrolling down when you get to the products page to see a few new goods for sale-thanks to Joy and stop on by Joy's blog HERE to show some love and sign up for the newsletter-I don't want you missing out!!!!!

Happy Scrappin' and have nothing but a fabulous week!!!!

Happy Hop Day Everyone!

Today Joy's Life is bringing you a Teacher's Blog Hop- the DT has some amazing creations for you to check out that could just be your end of the year teacher's gift! If you came here from Patty's blog, then you are on the right track. If you would like to start at the beginning of the hop, please click HERE. Don't worry, I have the line up for you at the end of this post as well :)

I thought it would be a cute idea to create a clipboard for my Nephew's teacher-and yes, Margie, I will have 4 additional made for the other teacher's too, before you ask lol :) I had the chance to play with the "Thank you for helping me Bloom & Grow" stamp found in the Tag You're It #2 Set of stamps by Joy's Life. The entire set is super cute! Here is my clipboard:

Another simple and affordable project to duplicate for those special Teacher's out there.  I ran into such a bargain at Michaels and found these clipboards 9"x6" for just .19!  At the time I purchased them I didn't know what I was going to do but how can you pass it up?  I used patterned paper by Momenta and along with some 3-d stickers and adhesive Pearls.  I cut plain white paper 4" x 4 1/4" so the Teacher's may use to jot down little notes.  I also added a ribbon to the clip and distressed the edges in pink for the final touch.  I think I see more clipboard gifts to create in the near future-what do you think?

Well, we can't have a blog hop without a giveaway right?  So........leave a comment and share your favorite teacher gift idea, become a follower (only if you want to).  One lucky random winner will win a plain clipboard and a few goodies to create their very own!  Please do so by Sunday, 04/22 at midnight and I will announce the winner Monday afternoon-ish :)
Here is the line up of the hop:

Your next stop is Stacey's blog-happy hoppin'!!!!!

Free To Be Me Birthday Card Holder with Momenta

Morning all!  I'm here today with a with a special Birthday project for Momenta.  I created a Birthday Card holder for a special little one on her 1st!  Check it out:

I simply created a cover and back cover using Momenta's super cute Free To Be Me collection.  For the inside covers, I included a little space to place a picture or two and some journaling should they decide to do so.  Want to create your own, follow these simple steps:

1.  cut 2 pieces of sturdy chipboard to measure 5 1/2 x 8"
2.  punch a hole 2" from the top and 2" from the bottom on both pieces
3.  cut 4 pieces of patterned paper to measure 5 1/2 x 8
(I chose 2 matching for the front and back cover and 2 matching for the inside covers)
4.  adhere patterned paper as desired, distress the edges if you choose to do so and punch holes.  It will be easier to punch the holes after adhering one at a time.
5.  for the front cover I used the birthday girl's invitation to personalize it along with Momenta Birthday Stickers and Embossed Message Stickers, I also included the year.
6.  for the inside covers I created 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 mattes for the pictures, one of the mattes is adhered in a u-shape leaving a little pocked for some journaling or maybe a letter to the birthday girl :)

Here are a few pics so you can view the entire card holder-feel free to click on the picture to make it larger for easy viewing :)

I'm super happy that they loved the gift and the idea of it :)
What do you think?  Have you created a card holder for someone?
If you have, we would love to check it out-just leave a link to the pic!

A Travel Mini with Kate Hadfield Designs

Here is a super easy mini I created using Kate Hadfield's
You can stop on by her shop HERE to check out some of
Kate's other fun designs that you can have too!

To create the base to the album, all you need is 1 12x12 piece of cardstock.
Cut in half so that you have 2 pieces of 6x12 cardstock,
score at 4" and 8" and fold like an accordian.
Do the same to the other piece and over lap one section to adhere.
I used 5 3/4" x 3 3/4" Kraft Cardstock pieces to matte the inside of the mini.
I then printed out various images and journal blocks,
layering them and adhering a few with foam to add texture and fun :)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are all enjoying
this amazing weather as much as I am!  Happy Scrappin'!!!!!

You Are A Treasure, an altered Test Tube Project

Hello there friends!  I'm here today, on the behalf of the Joy's Life DT, with a special test tube treat holder-it's in a card!  This week the entire team is playing with altering Test Tube holders and it's my turn today along with the very talented Patty!  For this project I used the "You Are A Treasure" stamp from the You're So Punny Stamp Set and the "Friend" stamp from Everyday Occasions.  Here it is:

I figured this to be the perfect little gift for a scrappy friend of mine who shares the love of Bling-y treasures as much as I do.  I used a few scraps from my favy scrap saver box I have, along with some kraft card stock and of course, BLING!  As if you couldn't tell from the pic, I also filled up that tube with lots and lots of bling to share :)

It was really simple to create too-just cut a piece of cardstock that measures 8 3/4 x 4", score at 4" and 4 3/4".  Score and snip 1 1/2" from the top and 1 1/2" from the bottom and push in so that you have a little test tube holder as shown in the pic and wha-la!  You've got yourself a cutsie little card and treat holder, nothing to it!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you will share with us your altered test tube creations!  You can leave a link here or at the Joy's Life DT blog.  Have a scrappin' day!!!!!

PS-have you checked out the new stamps available?  If you haven't then stop on by HERE now to see!
